One of our Mango clients has been using the software since August 2022. The company chose to implement Mango because although they had existing UKAS accredited certification to ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 14001:2015 (environmental) and ISO 45001:2018 (health and safety) Standards, when the new Compliance Manager joined the business, he couldn't find a thing, which was making it impossible for him to understand that status of compliance across the multi-sited business.
Even though he knew that Mango would help him to gain visibility of his compliance requirements, he didn't realise just how many things his business was missing until he started to populate the software. The scale of what the business had previously failed to manage started to emerge as what data there was started to be populated. Gaps started to be evident when:
plant and equipment started to be loaded from some business divisions - but the inability to do the same for all divisions showed how there was a lack of control over organisational assets
despite having lots of hazardous substances in the business, there was no control over Material Safety Data Sheets and no COSHH assessments had been carried out
whilst Fire Risk Assessments had been carried out for some sites, they hadn't been carried out for other sites
there had been no consistent means of storing training records
the seperate legal registers were transferred into the compliance module - and it quickly became apparent that the old registers were not up to date and cited out of date legislation.
Now armed with the software, and understanding where the gaps are, the Compliance Manager is able to agree actions and set priortities for action.
