Corporate Social Responsibility

Updated: Apr 15, 2022

“Good actions give strength to ourselves and inspire good actions in others” – Plato

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a buzzword which resonates with those companies operating in the private sector. CSR has prompted companies to redefine their roles within society and apply social and ethical standards to their business operations. With pressures on the ‘Triple Bottom Line’, CSR helps align the company culture to combat interdependent social, environmental and economic challenges.

ISO14001:2015 sets out the criteria for an Environmental Management System, which is one way of communicating your commitment to employees, consumers and other stakeholders that you are measuring and improving your environmental impact and managing the environmental aspect of your ‘triple bottom line’.

You can also demonstrate commitments to the social aspect through Social Accountability (SA8000). A global standard that covers aspects such as managing Human Rights in the workplace, improving working conditions and child labour, the standard can help your company apply socially acceptable practices in the workplace.

Penarth Management has experienced consultants who have helped many clients achieve SA8000 and ISO14001 certification and can assist your company from the start of work to the day of the Assessment.
