Electricians: did you know that the 17th edition for wiring has been superseded by BS7671:2018 - the 18th Edition?
BS 7671 is the national standard that all electrical installations should conform to. The new edition went live on the 2nd July 2018 and contains important new information to enable all electrical installers and engineers to ensure they are fully up to date with the latest industry standards.
What you need to know:
BS 7671:2018 is intended to come into effect on 1st January 2019.
The changes are not retrospective, but are aimed at new installations.
Installations designed after 31st December 2018 are to comply with BS 7671:2018.
