Does it hurt to miss out on Mango? Only When I Laugh…

Gordon Thorpe’s head was in his hands as he sat at his table in the hospital cafeteria.
“I can’t believe all the steps we need to take to get up to speed for this health and safety review,” he muttered to himself.
The hospital administrator had sent him a sheaf of papers showing everything that needed attention, from fire safety and oxygen cylinder storage safety to the imminent implementation of Martyn’s Law to help combat terrorism.
Gordon sighed loudly.
“Penny for ‘em,” said Roy Figgis.
Gordon shrugged: “Paperwork, the bane of my life. Keeping on top of it, organising it…we’ve got a health and safety review coming up and there’s a lot to do.”
Roy smiled: “Paperwork. That’s the curse of the professional classes, isn’t it Archie?”
Archie Glover nodded. He smoothed down his paisley robe and said: “It certainly is, but there is something you could do differently. You could use Mango.”
Gordon laughed: “I could drop a mango on the paperwork to keep it from blowing away? Or maybe carve the information in it and string it up to dry?”
Roy laughed: “Or slice it up for a few daiquiris, eh, Archie!”
Archie sighed: “It’s the name of the online compliance software my company uses to keep on top of all our legal obligations. We access it wherever there’s an internet connection so we don’t need those files full of paper.
“You should try it here. You’d get more time to spend with your patients and maybe I could finally get that private ward…”
Gordon looked at the pair of them and thought about spending more time with them…
“Yes, more time with SOME of my patients,” he said.
“Shouldn’t you two be in bed resting?”
Roy grinned: “Yes, Mr Thorpe, but Archie here fancied some exotic fruit for his tea. Was it pineapple, Archie, or was it mango?”
