We are Not Going Out to a pantomime without Mango!

Lee threw down his car keys in protest.

“I am not going out to a blinking pantomime with Toby and Anna,” he said.

Lucy sighed: “It’s for the kids! And Anna’s just started managing the theatre so she needs all the support she can get.”

Lee humphed: “Well she won’t be winning hearts and minds with a charm offensive! She missed those lessons at Mrs Snooty’s Academy for Battleaxes…”

Anna, who had just walked in the open back door with Toby, stared at Lee.

He said: “And that’s what Buttons said about the Evil Stepmother at the last production of Cinderella I saw…”

Anna grimaced: “It’s Sleeping Beauty not Cinderella.”

Lee smiled: “My mistake! We’re looking forward to seeing the dame or nurse help the handsome prince overcome the curse of Fairy ‘Orrible with true love’s kiss, aren’t we Lucy?”

Lucy smiled: “Oh yes we are! How’s the new job Anna?”

She shrugged: “OK I suppose. Lots of things to think about like the programme, finances, and auditing our compliance with our legal responsibilities.”

Lee said: “Sounds like a barrel of laughs.”

Anna ignored him and ploughed on: “We’re getting ready for the implementation of Martyn’s Law, too, with the new legal responsibilities to help protect the public from terrorism.

“We’re getting a detailed risk assessment, putting staff training plans in place, and checking our communication to ensure it’s effective if something does happen.”

Lucy smiled: “That’s so reassuring, especially as a parent. Isn’t it Lee?”

He nodded: “Very. Bet you’re up to your ears in paperwork.”

Toby leaned forward.

“Mango,” he said, smiling.

Lee shrugged: “Papaya…Are we playing tropical fruit top trumps?”

Anna sighed: “Mango is an online compliance software system that keeps all our documents in the cloud. We can all get them whenever we need them wherever there’s an internet connection. My office is paperwork free, I’m sure you’ll be glad to know.”

Lee smiled: “Ecstatic! So, how long is this pantomime today?”

Anna said: “Three hours, with the interval.”

Lee muttered: “I’ll be Sleeping Beauty by the end of that.”

Lucy smiled: “Well, Sleeping, anyway…”
