Fred sighed and glared at Shaggy.
“We’ve been hired by the town council to run this haunted English stately home for Halloween so we don’t have time to take the Mystery Machine into town to buy more Scooby snacks,” he explained wearily.
“Why don’t you boys go off to the kitchen and make one of your enormous sandwiches instead?”
Scooby said excitedly shouted: “Rooby rooby doo!”
They padded out of the room and left Fred with the mountain of paperwork.
“Food safety certificate for the cafeteria - check. Boiler service certificate - check. Public liability insurance certificate - check. Health and safety inspection report - check. Martyn’s Law assessment - still outstanding…”
Velma walked into the office: “Hey, Fred, why all the paperwork? Haven’t you got Mango?”
Fred looked confused: “Daphne’s running the cafeteria today. She might have some.”
Velma sighed: “No, not the fruit. The online compliance software called Mango. It stores all documents online in the cloud, so no more piles of paper. And we can all access them wherever there’s an internet connection.
“It saves us time and gives us an audit trail if we do get an inspection. Plus, with the implementation of Martyn’s Law here soon, we’ll need to get ready and ensure we gave detailed risk assessments and proper staff training. Mango will help us with all that.”
Fred nodded: “We all need to do our bit to help combat terrorism and protect the public.”
Fred said: “Where do I sign us up?”
Velma smiled and passed him a laptop: “Here! Our consultants at Penarth Management put us in touch.”
She sat down in a velvet armchair: “Now, about the so-called ghosts terrifying visitors…you know it’s the former owner in a rubber mask, don’t you?”
Fred smiled: “Yes, of course! But let’s wait until after the Halloween rush to unmask him. We had another booking from a coach load of paranormal investigators this afternoon!”
Find out how Mango’s online compliance software could help your stately home, visitor attraction, or heritage site. Book a free demonstration which will be delivered via Zoom. We can help you with a Martyn’s Law assessment, too. Call Penarth Management on 029 2070 3328 or email info@penarth.co.uk
