Oh we do like to be beside the seaside in Sandylands…especially with a little Mango!

Emily looked at the run-down amusement arcade and seaside entertainment centre, and sighed.
“How can Dad have lumbered me with this? It’s a nightmare…,” she said to a disinterested seagull perched on a nearby railing.
“It needs so much work. A new sign, to start with. It’s Sandylands arcade after all, not Sandylads. That missing ‘n’!
“Then, there are all the rules and regulations I’ll need to know about to get it up and running again. I’ll bet Dad wasn’t up to speed on the latest on Martyn’s Law, for example, or the latest fire regulations…”
There was a shuffling in one of the nearby bushes and the seagull flew off.
“Psst!” a voice said.
The bush parted and she saw…her father, Les Vegas! The father everyone had told her was lost at sea…
“Close your mouth! Someone might notice us!” Les hissed.
“Use the key and open the door, and I’ll run inside. Oh, and of course I’m up to speed on fire regulations! No one my age is going to forget the disaster in Summerland on the Isle of Man in 1973. That fire in a seaside leisure complex cost 50 lives and inspired building regulations that saved so many lives in the following decades.”
Emily unlocked the door and her father ran inside. She locked it behind them.
“What the heck is going on here?” she asked.
Her father pulled down the blinds and replied: “Just a little debt problem. Things will be fine if no one realises I made it back on that pedalo…”
Emily put her head in her hands: “Dad, I can’t run this place. I don’t know where to start…”
Les patted her on the shoulder: “You’ll be fine. I’ll show you everything. Our consultants at Penarth Management already helped us to comply with the latest fire regulations. And I do know about Martyn’s Law, thank you. It’s on the statute book now and we all have to do our bit to combat terrorism.
“We manage all our compliance well. Thanks to Mango.”
Emily shook her head: “Tropical fruits won’t save us, Dad!”
Les laughed: “Ah but they will, Em! Mango the online compliance software saves us all the time by allowing us to access our documents wherever there’s an internet connection. We keep all our records on it, from staff training to boiler certification. No more piles of paperwork, which reduces the fire risk, too.”
Emily sighed: “Handy…looks like I’ve got a new job, doesn’t it?”
