Introduction
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) is the lead trade association representing the whole range of retailers - right from the large multiples through to the small independent stores. In addition to the UK retail industry, the Standard is currently being used by suppliers in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Far East and Australasia - a truly global Standard.
The scope of the BRC audit covers all areas of product safety and legality - including critical topics such as HACCP system, quality management, factory environment standard and product/process control.
We offer to:
- Conduct a 'pre-audit' to establish any improvements required to meet the Standard.
- Develop a Food Quality System, or review your existing system line with the Standard.
- Develop or review your HACCP Plan.
- Provide guidance in developing procedures and process records required by the Standard.
- Provide technical support throughout the implementation of the Standard.
- Maintain your BRC/EFSIS system.
We can provide as much or as little support required to ensure you have the documentation required to achieve the audit standard. We can also provide the training required to ensure the day-to-day completion of the paperwork is carried out accurately.
Grants
In some parts of England and Wales, grants are available to assist with the cost of implementing a technical Standard.
