23rd December 2010 - Congratulations to our newest Consultant, Robert Gutrai, who has achieved an MSc in Environmental Consultancy.
8th December 2010 - Penarth Management have been recognised as HSE Official Campaign Supporters helping to promote the European Campaign on Safe Maintenance.
2nd December 2010 - All British Standards published in 2009 had their prices frozen in 2010. These Standards will change to new prices with effect from 4 January 2011. Order yours now to beat the increase.
4th November 2010 -  We are delighted to welcome back Robert Gutrai who joined us earlier in the year for an eight week placement as part of the MSc he was undertaking in Environmental Consultancy at the University of Plymouth. Robert has now completed his studies and has joined our consultancy team on a more permanent basis.
1st November 2010 - Thank you to everyone who turned up to support our Champagne Celebration at the end of European Health and Safety Week 2010. The event also celebrated our recent office move and Breast Cancer's 'Wear it pink' day. During the event we raised money for Breast Cancer by exchanging donations for pink cakes (made by our Training Coordinator, Jenny Starling) or special Ryder Cup 2010 caps which were kindly donated by Ricoh. 29th October 2010 - Our Champagne Celebration takes place this afternoon. We'll be celebrating our recent move as well as European Health and Safety Week and Breast Cancer awareness 'wear it pink' day. If you'd still like to join us we'd love to see you! The fun begins at 2pm!

25th October 2010 - Today marks the start of European Health and Safety Week. The campaign for this year and 2011 is 'safe maintenance'. To celebrate, we will be doing something special each day. To start the week off, we have produced a special edition newsletter.
12th October 2010 - The HSE has published a new version of its Fire Safety in Construction which provides guidance to people managing sites regardless of the size or project duration.

5th October 2010  - We are delighted to welcome Christopher Gardner who has joined our Team as a Graduate Researcher on a ten week placement via the Go Wales scheme and will be assisting us with ISO27001 and BS25999 projects.
29th September 2010 -  Congratulations once again to ITSUS Consulting who achieved UKAS accredited certification to ISO9001 with BSI following consultancy support provided by Penarth Management Limited. In recognition of the achievement, our Managing Director, Jodie Read was asked to attend the formal presentation of the certificate. 16th September 2010 -  Karen McDonald has been back to school! She is assisting St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Bicester with their Eco-Schools campaign and is helping to prepare them for the Green Flag Assessment. Karen's recent involvement saw her delivering an environmental awareness presentation to the whole school. Karen is pictured here with Mrs Leigh's Year 3 class. No doubt this will all stand Karen in good stead as she continues working towards her IEMA Associate membership!
6th September 2010 - Congratulations to our Consultancy Manager, Chris Green, who has achieved a distinction for his NEBOSH General Certificate!

28th August 2010 - We've just discovered and started using an internet search engine that saves 2m² (2.4yd²) of rainforest with each web search we do. 13th August 2010 - One of our clients, Conemasters, is celebrating successful certification to the Achilles Level 4 Core Audit Module following an assessment yesterday. Conemasters were particularly pleased to achieve this at the first attempt when the auditor said it was "unusual for anybody to pass first time" and praised the company's engagement of Penarth Management for a preliminary mock assessment, which paid dividends by identifying potential issues prior to the assessment process and giving the team an opportunity to address any issues before they met the Achilles auditor . 9th August 2010 - We are advertising for a Graduate Researcher to carry out a 10 week project. The placement is part of the Go Wales scheme. Further details can be obtained from our Careers page.
5th August 2010  - We have long supported clients from within the landscaping sector and are delighted that we have been granted Affiliate membership of the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI)
5th July 2010 - Congratulations to Jenny Starling and Laurence Richardson on passing our Level 2 Award in Food and Safety in Catering course which was held on 29th June 2010. All of the delegates who attended the course passed the exam, and both Jenny and Laurence will be able to apply their knowledge to supporting our clients from within the food industry.
2nd July 2010 -  Yesterday we had an eventful team day out at Newport Wetlands Centre and got involved in some practical conservation work.
21st June 2010 - Recycle Week starts now and is the perfect opportunity to clear out your cupboard, the shed or attic and give any old, broken or unwanted small electricals the chance to be useful again.
19th June 2010 - National Bike Week starts today and is an annual opportunity to promote cycling and show how cycling can easily be part of everyday life. Demonstrating the social, health and environmental benefits of cycling, the week aims to get people to give cycling a go all over the UK. This year Team Green Britain aims to make 'everyday cycling for everyone'! Try the on-line calculator to find out how much money you will save by cycling to work rather than driving.

-  Tomorrow is World Environment Day. This year the theme is celebrating biodiversity and as usual we have created a special edition newsletter with details of how we've been working with different organisations to help them improve their environmental performance.
3rd June 2010 - Congratulations to our Training Coordinator Jenny Starling who attended one of our Level 3 Award in Supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace last week. She not only passed the course but achieved a Merit. Well done Jenny!
2nd June 2010 - We are delighted that one of our clients, Wireless Innovation Ltd., has been named as a winner of the 2010 Queen's Award for Enterprise for their outstanding achievement in international trade of satellite and wireless technology services. The Queen's Award Office announced that Wireless Innovation's export earnings have almost tripled over the last 3 years addressing over 250 customers in over 50 countries worldwide from South America to Outer Mongolia.
4th May 2010 - Our current newsletter identifies the importance of business continuity planning. Travellers grounded by the volcanic ash from an Icelandic volcano have experienced another example of problems which can impact on businesses. As the last of the travellers make their way back home Continuity Central is encouraging people to think about other events or phenomena that are outside our normal experience, but which have the potential to occur.
28th April 2010 - EU OSHA has launched a new Health Workplaces Campaign on Safe Maintenance website to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. Safe maintenance is also the theme of this year's European Health and Safety week which will be taking place in October.

22nd April 2010 - Today is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day which is celebrated worldwide through events promoting awareness of environmental issues.
16th April 2010 -  Eddy Williams completed a swimathon in aid of Marie Curie, swimming 100 lengths in the course of 1 hr 10 mins. Eddy has an online sponsor form available for anyone wishing to support the cause.

9th April 2010 - We bid a fond farewell to Lois Powell who has been with us for the last three years, and wish her well in her new role as a Personal Assistant for a company in Swansea that specialises in the provision of social housing and care services.
6th April 2010 - Today sees the sick note being replaced by the Fit Note, which may help staff return to work earlier in accordance with the Social Security (Medical Evidence) and Statutory Sick Pay (Medical Evidence) Amendment Regulations 2010. Further information is available from the Department of Work and Pensions.
